Mr. Walker practices in general commercial, business
and real estate litigation and bankruptcy. For 25 years he has
represented both lenders and borrowers in all aspects of commercial
law. Mr. Walker's clients include several banks, Fortune 500 companies
and private companies. Mr. Walker also has served as counsel to both
creditors and debtors in chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. He has extensive
experience in complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation including
reorganization and suits to avoid fraudulent and preferential
transfers, determine lien priorities, determine nondischargeability
of debt and determine claims.
Mr. Walker began his career in
private practice and quickly moved to in-house counsel for Commercial
Security Bank/Key Bank. In his bank representation, Mr. Walker handled
complex foreclosure and commercial litigation, business reorganization
and lender liability defense. Upon entering private practice in 1989,
Mr. Walker has continued to represent banking institutions, overseeing
multifaceted commercial litigation as well as more
simple lender/borrower collection suits. He frequently lectures
on commercial law and bankruptcy and has served for ten years as an
adjunct professor of management, business law at the University of Utah
College of Business.
